Grant applications can be submitted by nonprofits, mission-driven organizations, small businesses, and entrepreneurs.

Applicants must include IRS certified documents to verify Employer Identification Numbers and the current-year W-9 Form.

Grant requests must align with one of BFGF's focus areas: Workforce Development, Housing Attainability, Economic Mobility, or Small Business Growth. For details, visit their respective pages on our website.

We are not accepting applications outside of the United States.

BFGF does not directly fund religious or political organizations. However, we may consider programs sponsored by religious organizations if they align with our focus areas.

Applications for either a capital campaign or a grant request are accepted during the active application window.

No. Organizations are limited to one application per calendar year. This single submission applies to all funding opportunities—including grants, capital campaigns, and sponsorships—regardless of whether the request is approved or denied.

2. Complete the Eligibility Assessment.

This is to ensure your organization and grant request align with our mission.

3. If approved, complete the Pre-Application Form.

This is a snapshot of your organization and a brief overview of your grant request.

4. If approved, your organization will be invited to complete the Grant Application.

This is a detailed focus on your grant request. The expectation is an impressive SMART goals analysis.

We do not accept unsolicited grant proposals or sponsorship requests by mail, email, or phone.
