OUR IMPACT NOW.
Pitney Meadows Community Farm
Pitney Meadows Community Farm is a Saratoga Springs nonprofit dedicated to growing food, community, and connection while educating residents about agriculture and the natural world. Operating in the heart of Saratoga County, the farm cares for the land to cultivate a healthier, more resilient, and more equitable regional food system.
The Business for Good Foundation awarded a $20,000 grant to support Pitney Meadows’ farm-based Food as Medicine (FAM) residential initiative. This catalytic investment aligns with BFGF’s core mission to break systemic barriers surrounding economic mobility and health equity across New York’s Capital Region.
This funding enables Pitney Meadows to double the capacity of its residential program across three local housing communities: Stonequist Apartments, RISE Riverview Apartments, and RISE Dominic Hollow Apartments. Over a six-month season from May to November 2026, participating residents receive weekly deliveries of no-cost fresh produce paired with hands-on cooking and nutrition classes, while produce purchases from more than a dozen local farms continue to circulate dollars directly back into the regional agricultural economy.
