OUR IMPACT NOW.

SEAT Center

At the heart of the Capital Region's workforce development efforts lies the SEAT Center, an organization passionately committed to bridging the gap between untapped potential and industry need. Their dedication to providing young people with essential work experience, academic credentials, and leadership skills sets the stage for graduates to secure high-paying, high-demand careers with confidence. By modernizing trade education and breaking old stigmas, they are opening vital paths to success in fields that remain resilient to technological and economic shifts.

In 2026, BFGF's partnership with the SEAT Center reached an exciting new milestone with a $25,000 strategic commitment aimed at expanding their transformative trade skills programs. This grant combines critical program funding with in-kind digital marketing support, designed to directly fuel their hands-on "Build Up" construction training and elevate the profile of local talent.

With the support of the Business for Good Foundation, the SEAT Center is poised to deepen its impact across the community. Enrollment and program offerings will expand to meet the evolving needs of regional employers , while a new digital home for Hattie’s Culinary Lab will ensure hospitality students have a premier platform to showcase their high level of skill to the Capital Region workforce.

"Partnering with the Business for Good Foundation is a powerful validation of our mission to bridge the gap between untapped potential and industry need."
