OUR IMPACT NOW.

TRIP & RCHR

The Troy Rehabilitation & Improvement Program (TRIP) and Rensselaer County Housing Resources (RCHR) partner directly with residents to expand sustainable homeownership, maintain quality affordable rental housing, and cultivate resilient neighborhoods across Troy and Rensselaer County. For more than fifty years, the organization has combined physical reinvestment with human empowerment to strengthen local communities from the ground up.

The Business for Good Foundation announced a $100,000 grant to TRIP to officially launch its new Pathway to Prosperity initiative. Marking the kickoff of BFGF’s expanded regional focus on housing attainability, this catalytic grant reflects the foundation's shared belief that community health and economic mobility require holistic support beyond physical shelter.

TRIP will utilize the funds to modernize neighborhood housing stock and broaden attainable housing access for local workforce members, including educators, healthcare workers, and nonprofit professionals. The program pairs these upgraded homes with individualized housing stability tools, proactive eviction-prevention navigation, and one-on-one coaching in household budgeting, credit repair, and debt reduction to ensure working families build generational resilience.
