South End Children's Cafe
The mission of the South End Children's Cafe is to impact food security and positively influence the physical and mental health of children by offering free healthy meals along with homework help, academic enrichment, mentoring, exercise, and the arts. The organization provides meals, snacks, and after-school programs for over 160 children and families.
Business for Good Foundation was thrilled to support Albany's Pearl Street Diner in the marketing and promotion of a successful cook-off that exceeded expectations, raising funds that were donated directly to the Children’s Cafe BFG was a lead sponsor at this community fundraiser, where Albany’s police and fire chiefs, and top prosecutor took their skills from the streets to the kitchen for a breakfast cooking challenge.
Healthy food is not a privilege. It's a right. We should all have equal access to healthy food. If we don't have access to healthy food, we have food related illnesses.
